The experience will be during regular Zoo hours instead of a night-time event.
This daytime celebration will provide fun for the whole family and some of your favorite Audubon Zoo animals too, ensuring your experience is filled with spooktacular memories. To add to the excitement, Peek-a-Boo at the Zoo guests are invited to wear their favorite costume as they partake in the festivities.
Children's Hospital New Orleans is a proud partner of Boo at the Zoo. Proceeds benefit Audubon Zoo and Children's Hospital New Orleans.
How do I get tickets?
All guests must purchase tickets in advance online for a specific date and entry time; Audubon Members must reserve their complimentary tickets online in advance as well. Entry times are offered every 30 minutes, with the last entry at 4:00 p.m. There is a limit to the number of tickets sold for each entry time and time slots may sell out. so we encourage you to get your tickets in advance.
Are masks required?
Face Masks are required for the safety of all guests and animals. Children under the age of 8 years old are not required to wear a mask though we strongly encourage any guests over 2 years old to wear a mask if possible.
Zoo guests who have been permitted to enter the Zoo without a mask for one of the State-approved exceptions listed below will be given a wristband distributed from the Information Booth to identify them while on property.

What do I do when I get there?
We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before your scheduled entry time and having each ticket available to be scanned upon arrival. Each guest in your party aged 2 and over should have a ticket for entrance.
Am I allowed to bring in food and/or beverages?
Outside food and drinks are allowed into the Zoo. Suitcases, backpacks, or coolers (with or without wheels) must not be larger than 28-quart size. One per family. Audubon reserves the right to search coolers and backpacks. Halloween-themed food and beverages, including child-friendly and adult-friendly, will also be available for purchase.
Can I bring a wagon or stroller?
Yes. Wagons, strollers, and wheelchairs are welcome. Guest are encouraged to bring their own.
Are wheelchairs and strollers available for rent?
Yes, a limited number of wheelchairs and strollers are available for rent daily.
Do Audubon members receive a discount on tickets?
Tickets for Members are free, as these festivities are including in regular Zoo admission.

Peek-a-Boo at the Zoo!
October 17 & 18 and October 24 & 25
Peek-a-Boo at the Zoo will be held October 17, 18, 24, and 25 during regular Zoo hours, 10am – 5pm. This daytime celebration will provide fun for the whole family and some of your favorite Audubon Zoo animals too, ensuring your experience is filled with spooktacular memories. To add to the excitement, Peek-a-Boo at the Zoo guests are invited to wear their favorite costume as they partake in the festivities.
Boo in a bag! We’ve taken all of the treat stations and combined them into one pre-packaged bag. The festive, pumpkin-shaped bag will be stuffed with candy, snacks, a face mask, and special treats for only $10. Your purchase of a Trick or Treat bag directly supports the children receiving care at Children’s Hospital New Orleans.
A limited number of bags will be sold each day and must be purchased in advance. Your purchase of a Trick or Treat bag is not a ticket for entrance to Audubon Zoo. Tickets must be purchased or reserved separately.
Don’t miss the chance to take home a photo of your family enjoying Peek-a-Boo at the Zoo! Photos will be taken in front of a festive Halloween display and should be purchased in advance of your visit. Don’t forget to wear your costume! Souvenir photos must be purchased in advance. Your purchase of a Trick or Treat bag directly supports the children receiving care at Children’s Hospital New Orleans.
Your purchase of a Souvenir Photo package is not a ticket for entrance to Audubon Zoo. Tickets must be purchased or reserved separately.
Contributions will benefit Audubon Zoo and Children’s Hospital New Orleans, and our shared mission to improve the quality of life for children and families in the New Orleans area. Your support enhances both organizations’ efforts to build a brighter future for our community during this difficult time.
New this year, families can join the fun at the Zoo and help save species from home by building their own backyard bat house! Bats are an important part of a functioning ecosystem. Making a bat-friendly place in a backyard supports the essential role bats have in the environment.
