How do I get tickets?
Tickets are available at any Audubon facility and online until they sell out. Sold-out nights will be removed from the ticketing system, so please double-check the date of your tickets before you finalize your purchase. You may either print your tickets at home or pick up your tickets with a confirmation number or valid ID at an Audubon facility front gate. Tickets cannot be mailed.

If I choose to pick up my tickets at the front gate, when and where can I get my tickets?
Bring the confirmation number or valid ID to a ticket window at any Audubon facility front gate during normal operating hours to pick up your tickets. You may also pick up your tickets at the Zoo front gate the night of the event.

What should I do if I lose my ticket?
If you chose the “print at home” option, you can reprint the ticket from the e-mail that was sent to you, but each ticket has a unique barcode and is only valid for one use. Once a ticket is scanned upon entrance, any duplicates will be void and admission will be denied. If you want to pick up your online ticket order at the front gate, you can have your order looked up with your confirmation number at the front gate of any Audubon facility and have your tickets reprinted, however, the original tickets will then be voided and invalid for admission.

Am I allowed to bring in food and/or beverages?
No ice chests or outside food or beverages are allowed except for baby food/formula. Delicious food from local vendors and Audubon will be available for purchase at the event. Beverages, including child-friendly and adult-friendly, will also be available for purchase.

Can I bring a wagon?
Yes. Wagons, strollers, and wheelchairs are welcome. Guest are encouraged to bring their own.

Are wheelchairs and strollers available for rent?
Wheelchairs and strollers are not available for rent during Boo at the Zoo.

Do Audubon members receive a discount on tickets?
Boo at the Zoo is a fundraiser benefitting Children’s Hospital New Orleans and Audubon Zoo. No ticket discounts are offered.

I can't make it for the night I purchased tickets. Can I switch them for another night?
Tickets will be honored ONLY for the night purchased. If you are unable to use your ticket, you should consider your purchase a contribution to our missions — there will be no refunds. Tickets are transferable to another party for the same night (not another night), if you’d like to  give or sell your tickets to another person and purchase tickets for another night if tickets are still available.

No Member discount. Regular daytime complimentary passes cannot be honored during Boo at the Zoo.

Boo at the Zoo is a fundraiser for Children's Hospital New Orleans and Audubon Zoo. Should a ticketholder be unable to attend, you should consider your purchase a contribution to our missions – there will be no refunds nor will tickets be honored on another night or year.

This event is held rain or shine.

A limited number of tickets will be sold for each night, and the event usually sells out.

Tickets will be honored only for the date purchased. Ticket holders attempting to enter on another night will be denied entry.

No outside food and beverages are allowed.

For trick-or-treating, please use only the designated Boo at the Zoo bags distributed at entrance to Trick-or-Treat Lane.

Before You Arrive

  • Tickets sales for each night are limited, and the event usually sells out in advance.
  • When online ticket sales end, any remaining available tickets must be purchased at the Zoo front gate.
  • All games and treats, except concessions, are free with admission.
  • No outside food or beverages are allowed. Delicious food from local vendors and Audubon will be available for purchase at the event. Beverages, including child-friendly and adult-friendly, will also be available for purchase.
  • Lines form quickly for popular activities, so arrive early to allow time to do all the activities that interest you. We suggest you map out your strategy before you arrive.
  • Boo at the Zoo will be held rain or shine.

Parking

  • Parking is available in front of the Zoo, on Magazine Street (both sides), and on the Audubon Park Riverview (lights and security provided). To protect the trees in front of the Zoo and ensure that you will be able to safely exit your parking place, please follow all posted parking guidelines/barriers and parking instructions from Zoo security staff.

At the Event

  • Trick or-Treat candy bags for children are distributed at the entrance to Trick-or-Treat Lane – please use only these designated bags for trick-or-treating in Boo at the Zoo.
  • The Ghost Train line closes at 7:30 p.m. October 25-26 and 6:30 p.m. October 27. This allows those already in line to ride the train before it closes for the night.
  • The Ghost Train can be scary, especially for little kids!! We recommend a minimum age of 8 years for riders.
  • The Mummy Manor presented by the Members of The New Orleans Fireman's Federal Credit Union offers a scary and not-so-scary version for guests.
  • Animal exhibits will not be open, but animal presentations are held by the Cooper Plaza elephant fountain each night.
  • Don’t want to bring your camera? Magic Memories can snap your family photo upon entry. Purchase prices vary by package.
